Well, surely, you don't hear someone cutting off their own arms everyday - not to mention the dude actually survive in the end ( uh, well, at least made it to surgery in critical condition). If he does survive I'm sure he'll be pretty devastated that he's alive without arms unless they manage to attack them back on again.
2) Runner who collapsed in race released from hospital (Proximity)
It's right in the heart of downtown Austin, also it was published in the evening news earlier this week on Kvue. This goes on saying even though you're healthy and exercise you still have that risk of your heart stopping dead anywhere.
3) Tornado hits near St. Louis as storm wallops Midwest (Timeliness)
Devastating damage by St. Louis due to storms wrecking havoc cross the Midwest in the past day or so. There have been reports of tornadoes causing some injuries but most of all extensive damage to homes as power lines, trees, and debris are thrown and torn apart by the high powered winds.
4) After suicide attempt, combat veteran finds his voice (Human Interest)
Andrew O'Brien tells his personal struggle over coming back from the military and trying to go back into civilian life as if pretending it never happened, and how close he came to taking his own life. Though it's a conflicting subject to talk about - suicide - he hopes that his old wound will close someone else from taking their life.
5) Brains as Clear as Jell-O for Scientists to Explore (Impact)
Thanks to new innovated technology in the medical field we'll now be able to test the brain over and over again without causing harmful damage and be able to spot mental disorders and diseases more quickly than before.
6) Veteran caught lying about Purple Heart (Conflict)
Odd when just about anyone can lie about gaining something important as the purple heart - that you have to be aware that this could happen - well that's not good.
7) Prominence – the “newsworthiness” of an individual, organization or place.
* The most important story would be "Brain as Clear as Jell-O" and the least important story I guess would be "Man slices arms..." BUT because of that I'll be more aware when I'm walking around Home Depot that anything can happen.
