1. Making sure the photograph appeals to the intend audience. (emotionally or whatever.)
2. Don't be afraid to experiment.
3. Find out what your audience is currently into. (issues, fashion, food, etc.)
4. Avoid making a weak cover that doesn't grab the intended audience/reader.
5. What's in it for me? (Fame, glory, money, etc.)
