Rules of Photography and Caption Review

Caption #1 

who - president barack obama and his wife michelle obama
what -  embracing each other lovingly *wink* *wink*
where - they're at the kennedy international airport, standing by the tarmac *OH FANCY*
when - taken on november 17, 2012 during 11:00a.m. 
why - haven't seen each other in FOREVERRRRRRRRRRR (3 weeks technically, but - ) because of obama's campaign trail as he tries to get reelected.
how -
background - president obama clumsily tripped and fell on the way to the terminal, face planting on the concrete hard enough for the medical team to rush over and help him.

sentence #1 - President Obama embraces Michelle Obama lovingly after arriving at the Kennedy International Airport from a three weeks long campaign trying to get himself reelected for another term.


sentence #2 - On November 17, 2012 at 11:00a.m. President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama reunite, after President Obama had to be evaluated for a cut after face planting onto the concrete as he tried to leave the terminal.

Setence #2 - It's December 12, 2012 in South Korea as legendary Psy performs his last concert tour after reaching an outstanding 1 billion views on Youtube.

 who - Emmanuel Kaufmann
what - getting pumped as he yells out a victory screech after his team won and will further proceed into the handicap volleyball potion of the game.

why - to show them whose boss that's what. (nah nah) To show that even they're able to win with everything against them. 
how - 
background - dyed his hair blue and styled it into a mohawk for his team 

Sentence #1 - Emmanuel Kaufmann lets out a victory screech as they won against the opposing team and will be able to proceed into the finals against all odds.

Sentence #2 - It was during the 2012 London Olympics on July 12th where Captain Emmanuel Kaufmann bellows out his emotions after leading his team into the finals.

 Vocabulary 

 Depth of Field - ( Shallow = BIG OPENING  ) ( Wide = SMALL OPENING )

Light - Angle where the light comes from. Intensity is about how bright or dim that light is.

Shadows - The absence of light; impacts photography.

Diffusion - Where you diffuse the light source to make it dim, change the intensity, or change it's color.

Exposure -Too light, too dark, or absolutely perfect.

Aperture (f-stop) - About the lenses; how big or small the opening is. You've got complete control over the aperture.

Shutter speed - Inside the camera body (glass) that open and closes. It's how fast the glass open and closes allowing light into the sensor. You've got complete control of this.

ISO -  How sensitive the sensor is to light. You've got complete control over this.The higher the ISO the more grainy it becomes.

Types of Lenses: 

Telephoto - Zoom in to get closer to the subject.

Prime - Lens that doesn't zoom at all. Smaller and you can't adjust them.

Wide Angle - Takes really wide angles, big opening. 

* Every picture that gets taken has news value. 
* (Timeliness, proximity, conflict, human interest, prominence, impact, novelty.)
