A. That there will always be someone willing to try to get away with photo manipulation in the newspaper. However, most of the time they're caught, but it does damage the newspaper, their future careers, and the people around them. Ironically all the photo manipulations seem to be around April Fool's Day as if it's something to laugh about when they cut off female cabinet members to create an all male cabinet. The passage also states that photo manipulation is hardly uncommon considering an alarming amount of photographers edit their photos, which is odd because the original photograph looks far better than the after image.
B. Photo editing is unethical if it deals with nationwide or local newspapers. It makes a damaging effect on the newspaper, considering they'll have to apologize for the photographers mistake, and it doesn't help the photographer who edited the picture in the first place since they'll be fired and it'll ruin their record.
