Camera history and information

1. A camera obscura is a device that projects an image of it surroundings on a screen.


2.  Optics (high quality glass lens) [Issac Newton]

3. Glass Lens, a dark box, and film.

4.  Still results in a photograph. (Glass lens, dark box, and film)


5. CCD (electronic sensor) stores photographs in computer memory devices.

Auto Mode (camera completely controls flash and exposure) 
Program Mode (just point and shoot)

7.  To focus on person (attempts to blur out background)

8. To freeze motion, camera will use the highest shutter speed possible. ex. athletics, nature, speed chases, etc. 

9.  It'll focus on the model or object you're about to take a photo of. 


10. Disabled Flash ( when using nature light)

11. Auto-Flash ( automatic flash if you need it)

12. Looks unnatural and model will look different. ex. if they have glasses they'll have a glare in their lens or red eye effect)

13. You may or may not see your model and you wouldn't be able to see details etc.

14. To represent a relative change in the brightness of light.

15.  2 stops brighter

16. 4 stops brighter

17.  Long shutter has more light.

18. Shot shutter has less light.

19.Brightness (larger openings, more light, smaller openings, less light)

20. Adjust to a bigger opening.
